The aim of the Vals software is to :

  • process MGDR (Merged Geophysical Data Records) data provided by space agencies for the various altimetry missions in order to define virtual stations at the intersection of satellite passes and water bodies ;
  • extract time series of water heights at these virtual stations;
  • export these data to hydrological databases.

Vals uses GoogleEarth for the geo-referenced representation of the processed data.
