The HYBAM observation service has been operating since 2003 in 8 countries with scientific (universities and research institutes) and technical (hydrological services, water agencies) partners. This partnership allows the HYBAM network to be integrated into national hydrological networks and to carry out good quality measurements acquired and analysed according to international scientific standards. Measurements are carried out by local community observers and are then processed in the network’s laboratories according to the parameters monitored. As proof of the importance of the data produced by the observatory, more than 500 scientific articles published in international journals have used the HYBAM database. The french team is hosted by the Géosciences Environnement Toulouse Laboratory (GET) and the Midi-Pyrénées Observatory (OMP) since 2003.
